About this service
Rubbish Removal in Bury and Greater Manchester
Most household rubbish is not one big item, it is forty small ones. A garage that has quietly filled up over a decade, a spare room that became storage, a loft nobody has been into since moving in. The individual pieces are easy enough to lift and the problem is the total: it will not fit in a car, it will take months to feed through a wheelie bin, and the tip has a queue and a limit on what it will accept in one visit.
A collection solves that in a single morning. We bring the van and the labour, work through what you are pointing at, and carry it out ourselves. Nothing needs bagging up in advance and nothing needs bringing downstairs first, although if you have already sorted it that usually makes the job quicker and therefore cheaper.
What we will not do is take something you have not agreed to. If there is a pile that stays and a pile that goes, say so at the start. The common regret with any clearance is an item that turned out to matter going out with everything else, so we would rather ask twice than assume.
What we take
- Bagged general household waste
- Cardboard, packaging and paper
- Old toys, clothing and bric-a-brac
- Small furniture and flat-pack units
- Garage and loft clear-outs
- Carpet and underlay offcuts
What we cannot take
These need a specialist licensed carrier. Ask us and we will tell you who handles them rather than take them ourselves.
- Asbestos, in any form
- Clinical or medical waste
- Chemicals, solvents, oils and paint tins that are not dry
- Gas bottles and fire extinguishers
How the collection runs
- 1
Tell us what needs clearing
Call or send the form with a rough idea of what you have. A photo on your phone is usually quicker than describing it.
- 2
We quote for the job
A price based on the volume, the weight and the access, given before any work starts, with no obligation to go ahead.
- 3
We load and clear
Our team does the lifting and carrying, including from upstairs or round the back, then tidies the area afterwards.
- 4
It is sorted and recycled
The load is separated so that metal, wood, cardboard and green waste go for recycling rather than straight to landfill.
